Look For Serendipity, There Is So Much To See: A Lost Bike

October 19, 2020 by Mia Logan 5 Comments

Serendipity is “one who finds valuable or agreeable things not sought for.” I have to believe that things we lose that are supposed to be for us, will come back to us.  One of our Thank Forward followers, Mark Paskowitz, wanted to share his heart-warming story of his lost bike.

It was 24 years ago that my triathlon bike was stolen out of my back yard. I was devastated because of all the wonderful experiences I had.

More recently, by accident, I was visiting my bike mechanic for a tune up on my mountain bike. I looked up and there was my original bike that had magically showed up at my mechanics shop two days before.

He saw my reaction and asked if I would be interested in having the bike again. He was able to restore the bike with all new parts.

It truly was meant to be!

Look for the serendipities in your life. Watch for them.

Love this! What goes around comes around. As Mark’s wife, I know he put a lot of love into that bike when he originally owned it 24 years ago. At the time, he was doing triathlons and that bike was his tireless mate during endless training passes and grueling races. I believe the bike came back to love Mark. It found its way home.
